Posted on: May 12,2020

The Chancellor Rishi Sunak has announced today that the Furlough Scheme will be extended for four months, until the end of October 2020. Until the end of July, there are no changes.

From August, the scheme will include “greater flexibility” in the later months, allowing employees to bring furloughed employees back part-time. Workers will continue to receive the same level of support”, at 80 per-cent of their current salary up to a £2,500 monthly cap.

The Government will publish full details at the end of May.
